• Mobile Phones: Reception can be sketchy at times and varies with provider.
• Internet: Free unlimited Wi-Fi is provided but it can dropout during busy times.
• Car Parking: There is space for a car at the front of the cottage.
• Food and Drink: There are two restaurants in the village which are good so must be booked. There is a Co-op nearby which can provide most things and most supermarkets offer a home delivery service.
• Edinburgh: There is a regular bus service to Edinburgh from a bus stop opposite the Gordon Arms Hotel. Alternatively there is a park and ride at Straiton. It is very difficult/expensive to park in Edinburgh for a full day.
• Petrol: The nearest petrol station is in Penicuik 8 miles away.
• Bank: There is a bank in the village with limited opening hours, but a cash machine is available.
• Dogs: Dogs cannot be left unattended in the cottage. There is a dog walking/sitting service available on request.
